When the Work Gets Hard

“Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14 

Remembering God’s faithfulness leads to rebuking the enemy’s schemes. 

How do we keep rebuilding when the work gets hard, and the voices get loud? 

•We remember how God has previously provided. (Nehemiah 4:14a) 

•We’re so close to God’s Truth that we can spot a lie a mile away. (Nehemiah 4:16-18; Ephesians 6:17b) 

•We keep rebuilding what matters most – bruises and all. (Nehemiah 4:14b, 17) 

Sanballat asked, “Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble? God always knew the answer was yes.  

In Ezekiel 37, God brought Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones and asked him, “…can these bones live?” As Ezekiel was prophesying, “…there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.”
